Fall Institute 2024 - Whistler BC
The Fall 2024 Institute was held at Legends Hotel Creekside in Whistler, the perfect setting for learning, collaboration, and connections.
Trainees and faculty came from across Canada to gather and share foundational knowledge and methodology on Women’s and Girls’ health.
Where all the learning took place!
Over the course of 5 days, 9 sessions and 4 panel discussions were attended by both trainees and faculty with topics ranging from Life Course Epidemiology, Women’s Biology, through to Indigenous Health, Secondary Data Analysis, and Working with Patient Partners.
Midweek, the Cohort and Faculty stepped out from the presentation space for some team building: Axe throwing! The activity space allowed new connections, collaborative conversations, and bullseyes.
Once all the axes had been hurled, a relaxing group dinner in Whistler Village was to follow.
By the end of the week, interdisciplinary networks had formed, and new opportunities lay ahead. The attendees were on their way home with broader knowledge in the women and girls’ health space and looking forward to continuing their journey with the GROWW program.
Farewell to Whistler.
